THIS is racism. This perpetuates myths that uphold racist constructs. I just, I can’t. Not in the name of any babies or any humans for that matter will I allow folks to pass this off as non-racist or anti-racist. This is a reflection of the need for a more complex analysis of racism and our complicity and agency in perpetuating it.
if having mixed babies solved racism slavery would have ended long before it did. ugh.
i’m also trying to figure out how we’re not supposed to realize that this whole “fuck racism, have mixed babies!” campaign revolves having all lighter-skinned babies.
